In March 2025, a team of experts from the Ministry of Transport successfully completed the production, testing, on-site application, and evaluation of project outcomes for the institute’s pilot project “R&D and Application of New Equipment for Highway Emergency Rescue and New Devices for Rapid Clearance and Traffic Restoration”—specifically, the lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy assembled beam bridge—at Haichuang Jungle-Novikov Company. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough for China in the field of highway emergency clearance equipment.
The lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloy assembled beam bridge developed this time offers significant advantages over traditional steel bridges: Weight reduced by 40%, The flexural shear strength remains unchanged; Fast installation speed, Can be quickly transported and set up by 2-3 people; single-hole setup takes ≤1 hour. High load-bearing capacity, It can accommodate vehicles weighing up to 30 tons. Currently, the project has been successfully demonstrated and applied on Provincial Highway S304 in Longkou City, Yantai, verifying its efficiency and reliability.

At the project outcome review meeting, experts including Professor Xu Yue from Chang'an University unanimously agreed that this research... Fully achieve the established goals. All indicators met expectations, providing an innovative solution for highway emergency rescue. Meanwhile, the expert panel highly praised Shandong Novico’s technical expertise, production capacity, and professionalism. Ren Hongwei, Chief Academic Advisor of the Bridge and Tunnel Center, along with project team members Chen Min, Zhang Liye, Gao Xiaoni, and Jiang Wei, participated in the full-scale bridge testing, on-site application, and review meeting for the project’s outcomes.
