On January 25, the delivery ceremony of the first domestically built all-aluminum alloy pilot boat with water jet propulsion, constructed by Conglin Kaiwa for the Shanghai Port Pilot Station, was grandly held.
Mr. Xue Yidong, the head of the Shanghai Port Pilot Station and president of the China Pilot Association, Mr. Wang Jie, manager of the Equipment Room of the Engineering Technology Department of Shanghai Port Group, Mr. Chen Jianhua, vice president and secretary-general of the China Pilot Association, Mr. Zhang Peiliang, chairman of Conglin Group, Mr. Karl-Wargh, director of Shandong Conglin Kaiwa Aluminum Alloy Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., and Mr. Zhu Weizhong, vice president of Conglin Group and general manager of Shandong Conglin Kaiwa Aluminum Alloy Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., attended the delivery ceremony.
At the ceremony, Head Xue Yidong and Mr. Karl-Wargh delivered speeches on behalf of both parties. Head Xue Yidong highly praised Conglin Kaiwa and the pilot boat, especially its excellent maneuverability, the integration of technology and innovation, perfectly embodying the concepts of intelligence, greenness, efficiency, and technology, which is unparalleled and of great significance. Mr. Karl-Wargh expressed gratitude for the continuous support from the Shanghai Port Pilot Station and all guests towards Conglin Kaiwa, as well as for the high attention and recognition of the products, while also expressing confidence in continuing to provide high-quality pilot boats for the Chinese pilot system.
The boat features a deep V-shaped hull design, with a total length of 18.5 meters, a width of 4.56 meters, and a depth of 2.15 meters, achieving a maximum speed of 27 knots. The entire boat is made of high-quality imported marine aluminum alloy, equipped with a dual-engine dual-jet pump propulsion system in the engine room, capable of carrying 12 pilots, characterized by fast safety and smooth operation.
At the end of the ceremony, leaders from all parties boarded the boat for trial rides and gave high praise to the vessel. With the successful delivery of the aluminum alloy pilot transport boat by Shanghai Port Group, Conglin Kaiwa will take this opportunity to pursue excellence, innovate and develop, contributing its strength to the cause of pilotage in China.
