Jungle Group's products, whether high-speed rail profiles, lightweight automobiles, aluminum alloy ships, or aluminum alloy pedestrian bridges, are all developed through careful planning, independent research and innovation, and always lead the industry.
On September 21, the 12th National Online Media Shandong Tour entered the Jungle Group, experiencing how the "Jungle Law," with continuous innovation as its soul, leads enterprises to carve out a path of transformation and upgrading.
Whether it is high-speed rail profiles, lightweight automobiles, aluminum alloy ships, or aluminum alloy pedestrian bridges, Jungle Group's products are all developed through advanced planning and independent innovation, always at the forefront of the industry.
On September 21, Su Zhenjia, chairman of Jungle Group in Longkou, Yantai, stated to the "Supply Side · Shandong Strategy - 12th China Online Media Shandong Tour" interview group, "We are responsible for all high-speed rail components." Relying on the combination of technological innovation and market innovation, Jungle Group has long bid farewell to low-end products like aluminum alloy doors and windows, and has successfully developed high-end products such as lightweight automobiles, aluminum alloy ships, aluminum alloy bridges, and aluminum alloy building templates. Moreover, the aluminum material significantly reduces the weight of the vehicle body, indirectly clearing obstacles for high-speed rail acceleration.
For a long time, high pollution and high energy consumption have been the inherent impressions left by the aluminum industry during the smelting stage. Jungle Group had also wandered in the low-end market of the aluminum industry. "Gradually, we found that aluminum actually has many advantages, such as being lightweight and corrosion-resistant," Su Zhenjia told reporters. Jungle Group was the first in the country to propose the concept of "green aluminum," continuously stimulating the excellent performance of aluminum, transforming it into "green aluminum" characterized by lightweight, corrosion resistance, value retention and appreciation, and recyclability.
In the production workshop of Jungle Group, rows of cast high-speed rail ceilings are neatly arranged on the production line. Su Zhenjia told reporters that these ceilings will soon be transported to CRRC Group for assembly of high-speed and urban rail trains. Benefiting from the lightweight vehicle body, along with improvements in engine technology, high-speed rail has increased its speed from 200 km/h to the current 500 km/h.
In the Jungle factory area, reporters also saw a brand new semi-trailer truck with the word "JD" printed on it and a patrol boat marked with "China Marine Surveillance" placed on one side of the factory area. Su Zhenjia told reporters that these vehicles and boats are made of aluminum alloy. "For example, the trailers we produce for logistics companies like JD and YTO are over 30% lighter than steel bodies, saving each company more than 70,000 yuan in fuel costs annually." Reporters learned that due to the corrosion resistance of aluminum, more and more boats are choosing aluminum as the material for their hulls, which not only helps speed up the boats but also extends their service life.
In some major cities in Beijing, pedestrian overpasses are also beginning to transition from the original steel material to aluminum alloy. "Compared to traditional steel bridges, the weight of the bridge is reduced by two-thirds, and maintenance costs are reduced by 90% annually," Su Zhenjia stated. After the pedestrian overpass reaches the end of its service life, the recovery rate is 97%, which greatly saves cost investment.
It is worth mentioning that the breakthrough of lightweight automobiles in China from zero to industrialization took Jungle Group just over three years. Currently, Jungle Group has successfully developed products such as aluminum box semi-trailers, tank semi-trailers, flatbed semi-trailers, and container semi-trailers, becoming the only company in China approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to produce aluminum semi-trailers, providing important support for the lightweight of heavy-duty vehicles in China.
Wang Feng, a well-known commentator participating in this media tour, visited Yantai for the first time. Wang Feng candidly expressed that he was quite shocked by his visit to Jungle Group. "I always thought that advanced equipment parts like high-speed rail locomotives would mostly need to be imported, but I didn't expect that our own enterprises could produce them, and our technology is still at the leading level in the country."
This year, Longkou was awarded the title of "China's Aluminum Material City of Transportation," becoming the only city in the country to receive this honor. As a leading enterprise in the high-end aluminum materials industry in Longkou and even the country, the development trajectory of Jungle Group interprets the path of transformation and upgrading for national enterprises, showcasing a path of industrial technological innovation and energy conservation and emission reduction. Currently, over 60% of vehicle body profiles in the country are produced by Jungle.
However, alongside the development of the enterprise, Su Zhenjia also faces new challenges. "The high-end aluminum alloy equipment industry is an emerging industry in the country, and products like lightweight automobiles, aluminum alloy ships, and aluminum alloy bridges are still in the market cultivation stage, with low market share." Su Zhenjia hopes to leverage the reports from this media tour to help more manufacturing enterprises that use steel as raw material understand the benefits of using aluminum.
