In the production workshop of the Conglin Group, rows of cast high-speed train ceilings are neatly arranged on the production line. Su Zhenjia told reporters that these ceilings will soon be transported to CRRC Group for the assembly of high-speed trains and urban rail trains. "Private enterprises also need to contribute to national innovation. China's high-speed rail achievements are the result of the hard work of many organizations, and we are honored to have played a part in it."

On September 20, the 12th "Supply Side · Shandong Strategy" China Internet Media Shandong Tour interview group visited the Conglin Group located in Longkou City, Shandong Province, to hear Chairman Su Zhenjia introduce the situation here.

"Jungle Law": Innovation, doing what others cannot.

In the production workshop of Conglin Group, rows of cast high-speed train ceilings are neatly arranged on the production line. Su Zhenjia told reporters that these ceilings will soon be transported to CRRC Group for assembly of high-speed trains and urban rail trains. "Private enterprises must also contribute to national innovation. The achievements of China's high-speed rail are the result of the efforts of many institutions, and we are honored to have played a part." Benefiting from the advantages of lightweight body quality, coupled with the improvement and upgrading of engines, high-speed trains have increased their speed from 200 kilometers per hour to the current 500 kilometers per hour. "Our winning formula is the 'Jungle Law', constantly staying ahead of others and doing what others cannot do." Since its establishment in 1982, Conglin Group has always adhered to the combination of technological innovation and market innovation, solving the problem of overcapacity in the aluminum processing industry through technology introduction and innovation, leading the industry development with the concept of "green aluminum", and promoting the transformation, upgrading, and innovative development of the aluminum alloy new material industry.

Expand applications: Resolve overcapacity in electrolytic aluminum.

Through technological innovation and industrial upgrading, Conglin Group has broken away from the past simple and crude large-scale production in the aluminum material production industry, increasing the added value of products and further expanding the application of aluminum materials. Now, not only high-speed trains, but also semi-trailers used in e-commerce logistics, Chinese maritime patrol boats, and the construction industry are using aluminum materials. "For example, the trailers we produce for logistics companies like JD and YTO are over 30% lighter than steel bodies, saving companies more than 70,000 yuan in fuel costs per vehicle each year." The advantages of using aluminum materials in the construction industry are even more apparent. For instance, in large cities like Beijing, pedestrian overpasses are also transitioning from the original steel material to aluminum alloy. "Compared to traditional steel bridges, the weight of the bridge is reduced by two-thirds, and maintenance costs are reduced by 90% annually." Su Zhenjia stated that after the pedestrian overpass reaches the end of its service life, the recovery rate is 97%, which greatly saves cost investment. Currently, Conglin Group has successfully developed aluminum box-type semi-trailers, tank semi-trailers, flatbed semi-trailers, and container semi-trailers, becoming the only company in China approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to produce aluminum semi-trailers, providing important support for the lightweight of heavy-duty vehicles in China.

"I have always believed that expanding the application of aluminum is an effective way to resolve the overcapacity of electrolytic aluminum," Su Zhenjia told reporters. It is understood that overcapacity in electrolytic aluminum is an important issue facing China, which was even specifically mentioned at the "Xi-Obama Meeting" in early September this year. Gao Fuyi, director of the Macroeconomic Research Institute of Shandong Province, stated when discussing this issue that supply-side reform mainly involves structural adjustments. In the past, our country has long been in a state of insufficient capacity, and as long as there is production, there is profit, leading some enterprises to blindly engage in large-scale production, resulting in insufficient quality and inability to meet market demand, which later caused a strange phenomenon where certain materials themselves had overcapacity but still needed to be imported. "I believe Conglin Group is doing well in resolving aluminum overcapacity from the aspects of innovation and expanding applications."
