At the symposium, Director Gong Xiaofeng briefly introduced the characteristics of Yantai Vocational College, professional settings, talent cultivation, and academic research. Yantai Vocational College is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and hosted by the Yantai Municipal People's Government. The school has15 teaching departments, with 987 full-time teachers, including 82 professors, 253 associate professors, and 742 master's and doctoral degree holders. There are more than 18,000 students in higher vocational education, offering 54 teaching majors covering 12 major categories such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, civil engineering, transportation, energy power and materials, finance and trade, tourism, culture and arts, education and sports, public management and services, food, medicine and grain, biology and chemical engineering, closely aligning with national strategic emerging industries and the main industries and product clusters of Yantai City. He pointed out that Yantai Vocational College has always emphasized the integration of industry and education, and the majors offered by the Intelligent Manufacturing Department of Yantai Vocational College are highly compatible with the Conglin industry.
