On July 14, the "2016 Northwest Pacific Action Plan - China-Korea Joint Emergency Drill for Marine Oil Spill" was held in the Beigang sea area of Weihai, co-hosted by the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport and the Korea Coast Guard. Eighteen vessels, one professional rescue helicopter, two drones, and over 400 people from China and South Korea participated in the drill. Zhu Weizhong, General Manager of Conglin Kaiwa, was invited to observe, and the "Haihan 01" participated in the drill, working alongside the "Haixun 0492" to carry out surface oil pollution cleanup operations.
The "2016 Northwest Pacific Action Plan - China-Korea Joint Emergency Drill for Marine Oil Spill" is a cooperation in the field of oil spill emergency response conducted under the framework of the oil spill emergency cooperation mechanism in the Northwest Pacific Action Plan region. The theme of this drill was "Enhancing Emergency Response Capability, Strengthening International Cooperation, and Protecting the Marine Environment." The drill simulated emergency response to marine oil spill pollution caused by the collision of two vessels, focusing on five subjects: "Marine Firefighting and Rescue, Oil Spill Monitoring and Surveillance, Oil Spill Containment, Oil Spill Removal, and Shoreline Oil Spill Protection." This laid a foundation for better implementation of the Northwest Pacific regional oil spill emergency cooperation plan by China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea in the future.
During the drill, the Haihan 01 and Haixun 0492 worked together, responsible for towing oil-absorbent mats made of special absorbent materials to form a curved operational area, and used a vortex oil recovery machine to complete the oil pollution cleanup work. In the review session after the drill, the Haihan 01, along with Haixun 05211 and Haixun 05907, formed a high-speed boat formation, passing by the observation vessel at a speed of 20 knots to receive a review, showcasing the vessel's high speed to the guests.
In this drill, the Haihan 01, as the only aluminum alloy vessel participating, won unanimous praise from relevant participating units and observing guests for its excellent maneuverability, quick and flexible response capability, and near-perfect performance. Through the participation of Haihan 01, Conglin Kaiwa further promoted and demonstrated the overall strength of the company, greatly enhancing the company's visibility, expanding the brand influence of Haihan, and laying a solid foundation for future market development and product sales expansion.
