Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology organized a project approval meeting for the 13th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Plan. The project "Manufacturing and Application Technology of High-Performance Aluminum Alloy Large-Scale Extruded Profiles," jointly led by Conglin Group, China Aluminum Dongqing, China Aluminum Southwest Aluminum, Zhongwang Group, and Central South University, has officially received approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology, with Conglin Group obtaining national support funds of 5.98 million yuan.
At the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan, in order to fully leverage the leading role of the innovation-driven development strategy, the State Council integrated and merged the National Key Basic Research Development Plan (973 Plan), National High-Tech Research and Development Plan (863 Plan), National Science and Technology Support Plan, International Science and Technology Cooperation and Exchange Special Fund, and Industrial Technology Research and Development Fund managed by the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, etc., forming a National Key Research and Development Plan project. This plan aims to integrate advantageous universities, research institutes, and enterprises in the industry into a joint application body based on the major needs of national economic and social development and priority areas of scientific and technological development, covering aspects from basic frontier research, major common key technologies to application demonstrations, conducting full-chain innovative design and integrated organization and implementation. At the same time, during the organization and implementation process, it will strengthen the standardization and scientific management of project solicitation, pre-application, formal application, budget, defense, and approval processes.
Since the beginning of the project reform last year, the technology center has attached great importance to it, actively reporting the company's industry, technology, product, and equipment development status to industry experts and leaders, successfully including the "Key Application Technology and Demonstration of Aluminum Alloy Body Structure" project in the application guidelines. During the project application period, efforts were made to seek strong alliances with universities and research institutes such as Central South University, Beijing University of Technology, and Beijing Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, combining basic theoretical research with the company's engineering technology, summarizing and packaging aluminum alloy application technologies such as welding deformation control of large complex aluminum alloy components, welding and connections, joint corrosion control, and surface anti-corrosion treatment that the company is currently researching. During the preparation of the budget for fund expenditure, a project budget document of over ten thousand words was prepared day and night, laying a solid foundation for securing more national funding. After more than a year of project application work, Conglin Group finally received national recognition and subsidies. In addition, the company also participated in the project "Processing and Manufacturing Technology of High-Performance Magnesium Alloy Deformed Materials" led by Chongqing University, obtaining national support funds of 700,000 yuan.
The successful application for the national project not only secured national funding support for the company's aluminum alloy deep processing industry development but also further consolidated the company's leading position in the domestic aluminum processing industry, expanding the company's influence and reputation. In the future, the technology center will take advantage of this national project opportunity to summarize and package the company's high-end aluminum alloy materials and lightweight aluminum alloy products, striving for more national policies and funding support to assist Conglin Group in rapid and stable development.
