On March 10, the groundbreaking ceremony for the aluminum alloy pilot transport boat of Shanghai Port Group was grandly held in the Conglin Kewa welding workshop. Leaders present at the ceremony included Xue Yidong, the head of the Shanghai Port Pilot Station and president of the China Pilot Association, Chen Jianhua, vice president of the China Pilot Association, Zhang Peiliang, chairman of Conglin Group, Qu Jigang, president, Wargh, chairman of Kewa Finland, and Zhu Weizhong, vice president of Conglin Group and general manager of Conglin Kewa.
At the ceremony, Head Xue Yidong and Chairman Zhang Peiliang delivered speeches on behalf of both parties. In his speech, Head Xue pointed out that this cooperation has far-reaching significance for Shanghai Port Group to better fulfill its responsibilities. Shanghai Port Group needs first-class equipment as a strong backing and hopes that through our joint efforts, the first domestic pump-type aluminum alloy pilot boat will be born on schedule, setting a new benchmark in the public boat field. He also fully affirmed Conglin Group's capabilities in deep processing of aluminum and design and construction of aluminum alloy vessels, hoping that Conglin Group can open a new chapter in the field of high-speed pilot boats through this cooperation. Chairman Zhang expressed gratitude for Shanghai Port Group's trust in Conglin Group and conveyed confidence in Conglin Kewa's design and manufacturing capabilities for aluminum alloy vessels. This cooperation holds extraordinary significance for both Shanghai Port Group and Conglin Group.
Zhu Weizhong, general manager of Conglin Kewa, representing the contractor, stated that they will strictly adhere to relevant technical specifications and requirements, fully understand and respect the suggestions and opinions of the shipowner, classification society, and supervision, and uphold the principle of "customer first, quality first," making every effort to ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality aluminum alloy pilot transport boat.
Subsequently, the leaders of both parties jointly activated a crystal ball, and with the sound of salutes, the welding of the hull deck began, officially launching the 18.5-meter transport boat project of the Shanghai Port Pilot Station.
The pilot boat being constructed is the first domestically designed and manufactured pump-type aluminum alloy pilot boat, utilizing advanced design technology and manufacturing experience from Finland. It features a deep V-shaped hull, a rear engine room, and a forward-leaning bow, with a total length of 18.5 meters. The interior is equipped with a dual-engine dual-pump propulsion system, characterized by high safety, fast sailing speed, easy handling, good comfort, strong resistance to wind and waves, and uninterrupted operation in complex water environments, fully meeting the high requirements of the pilot system for the safety, comfort, and frequency of use of pilot equipment.
