On October 14, 2020, the "Key Component Aluminum Profile Manufacturing Technology Development and Application for Automotive Lightweighting" project evaluation meeting organized by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association was held at the headquarters of Conglin Aluminum Company. This project was jointly completed by Conglin Aluminum Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Central South University, Yuyuan Engineering Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd.
The evaluation meeting invited five experts in the aluminum processing field, including Academician Xie Jianxin from Beijing University of Science and Technology, Senior Engineer Jia Mingxing from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Professor Ma Chaoli from Beihang University, Professor Qin Gaowu from Northeastern University, and Professor Zhang Bingrong from Qilu University of Technology, to form the evaluation expert group. Accompanied by the company's Chief Engineer Gao Anjiang and other leaders, the experts visited the Conglin Aluminum Alloy High-end Equipment Industrial Park, inspected the production sites of Conglin Aluminum Materials, Conglin Fuluh Hao Fu Automotive Company, and Novico Lightweight Equipment Company, and were deeply impressed by Conglin Aluminum's complete aluminum processing industry chain and high-end aluminum alloy application products.The complete aluminum processing industry chain and high-end aluminum alloy application products left a deep impression on the experts.


After the on-site inspection, the expert group listened to the project team's report, reviewed relevant technical materials, and through inquiries and discussions, the attending experts highly evaluated the "Key Component Aluminum Profile Manufacturing Technology Development and Application for Automotive Lightweighting" project, andunanimously recognized that the overall technology of the project has reached an international advanced level,andsuggested accelerating the promotion and application of new technologies and new products."

The "Key Component Aluminum Profile Manufacturing Technology Development and Application for Automotive Lightweighting" project focuses on the research and application of aluminum profiles for key components in automotive lightweighting, conducting research on alloy composition optimization and microstructure performance regulation, independently developing new aluminum alloys for load-bearing structural components, collision energy-absorbing bumpers, and ABS valve bodies, successfully registering five new aluminum alloy grades, breaking through key engineering technologies such as melt purification, profile extrusion, and heat treatment performance regulation, and successfully developing a series of aluminum profiles for key components, improving the comprehensive performance of three types of typical key components: load-bearing structural components, bumpers, and ABS valve bodies.Currently, the project has obtained 19 authorized invention patents, presided over the formulation of one national standard, and the five developed high-performance aluminum alloys and their extrusion profile preparation key technologies have been transformed into results and mass production at Longkou Conglin Aluminum Co., Ltd. Fifty-six specifications of three types of components are widely used in domestic commercial and passenger vehicles, and some key components have been exported in bulk to countries such as Japan.In recent years, Conglin Aluminum has always adhered to the core strategy of "building an international first-class high-end aluminum alloy materials and lightweight equipment manufacturer," taking technological innovation as the primary driving force for enterprise development. This successful cooperation with universities and research institutes has passed the project evaluation, marking a successful collaboration between industry, academia, and research. The project has enriched the variety of high-performance aluminum alloy materials for automotive use, improved the comprehensive performance of products, promoted technological progress in the aluminum processing industry and the development of automotive lightweighting technology, and played an important role in enhancing the international market competitiveness of China's high-end aluminum alloy materials!
目前,该项目共获得授权发明专利19件,主持制订国家标准1项,开发的5种高性能铝合金及其挤压型材制备关键技术已在龙口市丛林铝材有限公司实现了成果转化和批量化生产。三类构件56种规格产品大量用于国内商用与乘用汽车,部分关键件已批量出口日本等国家。
